Pulse Pediatric Heart Foundation

Building sustainable pediatric cardiac care systems for children in need

Children with congenital and acquired heart disease often face limited access to timely, life-saving cardiac surgery and advanced care. This gap leads to delayed treatment, preventable mortality, and long-term dependence on external referrals.

Our Vision
A fully developed pediatric cardiac ecosystem, locally anchored and capable of delivering the full spectrum of care, ensuring that no child is denied treatment due to lack of access.

Our Mission
Pulse Pediatric Heart Foundation builds sustainable pediatric cardiac care systems—delivering lifesaving treatment, training local medical teams, and developing the infrastructure required so children can receive care close to home.

What We Do

  • Deliver pediatric cardiac surgery and specialized treatment for children in need

  • Train and develop local, self-sustaining cardiac care teams

  • Support families throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery

  • Build the infrastructure required for long-term cardiac care delivery

How We Work
Pulse operates through three integrated pillars:

Clinical Access – coordinating and funding life-saving cardiac interventions for children in need through trusted medical partners

Workforce Development – training and mentoring local medical teams to deliver advanced cardiac care independently

System Building – establishing the infrastructure, partnerships, and institutional capacity required for long-term, in-country care delivery

These pillars function together to create local access to treatment, reduce reliance on external referrals and build sustainable cardiac care systems over time.

Our Approach
We operate through a long-term, structured strategy focused on building permanent in-country capacity. By combining clinical care, professional training, and institutional development, we reduce dependency on external referrals and create sustainable cardiac care systems.

Pulse exists to ensure that children with heart disease have access to timely, life-saving care—and that families no longer have to leave their region to find it.
